Dolly Bow Bow

Oh em gee.
I have found a new obsession. Ohhh if only I had money!
So I've just been watching loads of Dolly Bow Bow's videos on YouTube, like i've completely stalked her channel and preeetty much watched every single video, and I noticed how beautiful her jewelry always is, so I clicked the link to her online and shop and it is fair to say... I am in love with absolutely everything she sells. Every single product is just beautiful, especially the jewelry, seriously, if you haven't checked out her shop, blog, youtube, I'll link them all at the end because if you're a beauty/shopping addict like myself, you'll love her channel. She deserves so many more subscribers on YouTube, she definitely deserves as much as Zoella (I love Zoella, also!).

I have already created a Dolly Bow Bow wish list on my little note pad that I put everything in!
So far it's come up to £92.50... Ooops.

See this is where I need a job, so I can buy all of this and not have to worry about asking my dad for everything (even if I ask him he won't let me buy it because I am a shopaholic and already have far too much jewelry that I never wear).

Here is the link to Kate (Dolly Bow Bow)'s shop - www.dollybowbow.co.uk
(I've already linked her Youtube channel up there ^),

But yeah, here is one of my favourite items from her shop that I most probably will purchase this week!

I absolutely love this, because I love gold & I love lilac, so everything about this bracelet is perfect.
It's only twelve pounds also, which is just fab.

Go check kate & her shop out because honestly,
you'll love it.

I need ideas! + Keek

I basically fail at life.
I didn't make a YouTube video, because well, I chickened out. & Also, the lightning today was dull and crap.

I will make it tomorrow though, I will! Mwahahaha.

I've definitely decided to do a Haul & Review video because I love to watch them, and so do a lot of others apparently!

But, I need ideas guys! If you liked to comment below and give me some further ideas of what to make future YouTube videos on, that would be amazing!

This has been a pointless blog post but oh well!

YouTube

Right.
I want to make a proper YouTube channel. Although the thought of talking into a camera is very strange, I want to do it. I love watching YouTube videos, I watch everything from Shane Dawson to Zoella, which is quite a big gap! I'm just struggling on what I'd say to the camera, like what genre of videos I'd like to create. But then again, I want to do a range of things, I don't just want one particular genre of videos. I want to be able to entertain people, as well as give people advice on say, beauty/skin care products, I want to be able to do Hauls, reviews, and also Vlogs.
The thing I'm struggling with the most is what I should make my first video about... I was thinking about doing a '50 facts about me' but to be honest, who cares?! and I'm really not that interesting! haha!
But the thing with YouTube is, it's kind of a 'luck of the draw' thing, because only some videos get quite a lot of views, and unfortunately, all of the times I've attempted videos, they get about 10 views, which I'm surprised at cause they were never interesting! But I just would love to know that people are watching and enjoying my videos, I just don't know how to do that! :(

I haven't got proper lighting or amazing make up or a nice face or anything, I would just love for people to be able to watch my videos and not leave half way through because they're bored. My two main inspirations on YouTube are probably Zoella & Shane Dawson, both being so different of course.
(If you haven't checked out these YouTuber's, PLEASE do so!)
Shane Dawson is a pure comedian, and his videos have never failed to entertain me, although lately he's been doing way to many videos so it's not really fun to watch his major videos anymore because he basically publishes every second of his life. The reason I like him because he talks about issues and makes them funny, which is what I would also like to do as well as beauty videos, hauls, reviews, favourite videos ect like Zoella does.

Basically, I'm just a bit confused! I think I need to sit down and write a sketch or something.
I might just do a Lush haul, seeing has I have a lot of Lush stuff that I have recently purchased... Hmm.

I'll attempt it tomorrow me thinks.

Sorry for the dull, lack of smiley post :(

Lots of Love,

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review | :)

Hello Lovelies!

Today's blog post is about this new foundation I picked up randomly this weekend because I have run out of my usual foundation! (Max Factor Miracle Touch)

Ok so i've seen on Instagram that this foundation is pretty good, but I unfortunately have to disagree. Some foundations just don't sit well on my skin. They tend to go blotchy and it just seems to fall off throughout the day, so that's annoying. I have tried so many different foundations and I just cannot find one that sits on my skin! Also, powder doesn't look nice on me either, so I don't use that. But the thing is, I don't like to spend a lot of money on foundation because my skin just doesn't seem to like it, but after trying lots of different high street drug store foundations, I might have to break the bank and buy some expensive foundation, or I might just talk to the staff at the make up sections of boots and ask for some advice.

Right, onto my thoughts on this foundation.
I generally prefer foundations that have a thick consistency because I find that they stay on longer, but because they tend to get blotchy on my skin, I decided to try this Match Perfection as it has a watery consistency, which I can now say, I did not like. It went blotchy after about an hour, and it also doesn't seem to cover up blemishes very well if you don't you concealer. If you like thin based foundations, maybe because you have good skin and you just want a more flawless complexion, then maybe give this a go, because I find this product not up to scratch, doesn't mean you will!
url.jpg I got this foundation from my local Sainsbury's, for £4.99, which is why I bought it. BUT, I will have to go and get some more foundation because I am not enjoying this so far. But for £4.99 it was a bargain, and I will probably use this as a thing layer before applying thicker, more resilient foundation, such as my favourite, Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation, which you should be able to get from any Drugstore world wide.

LUSH and Drugstore Skin Care Review | ♡

Hello Lovelies!

Thought it was about time I reviewed the products that I purchased and showed you in my Haul video the other week, or month, ah, oops!

Firstly, I'd like to start off by saying, I purchased these products because I have combination/dry skin, I also suffer from breakouts, mainly around my mouth and between my brows, I also suffer from sensitive skin, so basically just normal teenage skin! So, if you have around about the same skin type as me, or suffer from break outs, I highly recommend you read this review before purchasing these products!

Lush Skin Care Reviews

Firstly, the cleansing bar from Lush, which is called 'Fresh Farmacy', you can buy it here :)
I'm going to keep this short and sweet.
url.jpg
So, I heard rave reviews about this for people with spot-prone skin. I have been using it for over 2 weeks now and I can honestly see absolutely no difference! I bought a £240g lump of this for £8.50 at my local lush store. It leaves my skin feeling so tight after I wash this off with warm water. It also doesn't seem to calm my skin, only make it ever so slightly itchy & it also leaves it feeling dry and because I suffer from dry skin on my eye lids, I find that the 'soothing' components of this cleanser don't help the dry areas by my eyes at all! I will continue to use this, as I have a fair big lump left, and y'never know, it might all of a sudden work! Give this a wirl if you haven't got dry skin and you don't mind a tight sensation in your face! but I give it an overall, 5/10!

The next product I purchased is the spot treatment from Lush, called 'Grease Lightning', this is a tea tree oil based clear jell, if you would like to read more about this product, and maybe even purchase it, then click here, but here are my personal views on this product. Ok, this was a bit of a miss for me. I heard sooo many good reviews about this, on YouTube and other blogs, and about how much it helps soothes spots and then eventually get rid of them. I personally find that it spreads spots, as if you have multiple spots on your face, (which i do at the moment), and you rub it into them, using the same lot of jell, which you're going to because it pumps out quite a lot of jell in one pump, and because it is £5.95 for a small 45g bottle, you don't want to waste it! It's a bit impractical because the jell doesn't sit on your spot well, it comes off as you take your finger away. It also made my face feel tight, but it is soothing and it is soft afterwards, i just found that it didn't really help my spots, and that it took a while for the spot to clear, but it does soothe your spots. Overall, this product deserves a 7/10.

This next product from Lush, called the 'Mask of Magnaminty'. This product is a face & back mask pack, and it smells and feels so fresh on the skin! The second you put this mask on your face or back, you will feel the cooling sensation which instantly makes your face feel revitalized and fresh! You leave this mask on for 10-15 minutes, and in my opinion, you can feel it working! I use this mask on a Saturday evening, and a Wednesday evening, I don't know why I picked those days, but oh well! You can use this whenever you like, and because it's not a fresh face mask, it has a longer shelf life and doesn't have to be stored in the fridge! This mask does tighten your skin quite tight, so be warned! but if you have spot prone skin like me, you can feel it really working on your spots! I avoid my eyes, so I have no worry of it drying out my face. But, when I take this mask off with warm water, (has to be warm because it is a toughie to get off!) my skin feels unbelievably soft and it doesn't feel tight at all, but that may be because I moisturize straight afterward, (I use doublebase, which is a eczema moisturizer that I have prescribed to me), but I find that I feel fresh, clean and my skin feels great! Overall, this product is an 8.5\10!

Drugstore Skin Care Review

These next products I purchased from a drugstore we have in the UK called 'Superdrugs', but the brand is worldwide, so don't worry about not being able to find them if you're in a different country, or, just click here and find them for yourselves or purchase any other skin care products recommended to you!

Firstly, is the 'Olay Gentle Cleanser Conditioning Milk'. I LOVE this! It is so gentle to my skin, and it has a soft, milky consistency and it is honestly the best £1.49 i've ever spent! Although I like to use the Lush 'Farmacy' cleanser because I think that it should work because it's expensive, I always use this conditioning milk afterwards because the Farmacy leaves my face tight and dry, and this almost moisturizes my face as well as getting rid of my make up and any other foundation left on my face, where as Farmacy doesn't seem to do that. This product also doesn't create bubbles on your face, and therefore is so smooth when you are massaging it into your face and neck. Not much more to say about this other than, GO OUT AND BUY IT. It is such a bargain and it's a very good cleanser. This product gets a 9/10 from me!

This next product is the 'Olay Gentle Cleanser Refreshing Toner', i apply this with a cotton wool bud or a cotton pad, all over the face and neck after I cleanse, and although you're supposed to leave toner on, I like to wash it off because I don't like having too many chemicals on my face! But you can do whatever you want too! This was also £1.49, an absolute bargain! I avoid my dry patches as it does irritate them, so I would not recommend this to anyone with severely dry skin! This is very refreshing, but it's not a necessity in my daily routine, so I use it whenever my skin needs to be perked up or look a bit more vibrant! Overall, a 7.5/10.

The last product is the 'Olay Essentials Smoothing Face Scrub' for normal/dry skin.
I use this product about 3/4 times a week, sometimes even less because it is an exfoliant, so it does bring all your spots to the surface, which i've learnt by now is a very big mistake to make if you do this every day for a week like i did! (Probably why my face is full of spots!), but, it is gentle on the skin and it is soft, and because of the microbeads, it is a gentle exfoliant and it's not rough on the skin. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry either. Overall, it's a 7.5/10!

All of these Olay products are amazing if you're just starting to cleanse your face, or if you are a bit skint or just love a good bargain!

I hope these helped or help you chose your right skin care routine, because I'm still searching for the perfect lotions and potions to fix my blemishy skin! But for now, I Strongly recommend the Olay skin care products for now!

Thank you for reading,
my next blog post will be the MUA lipstick review and an outfit of the day post!

Saturday 2 February 2013

Today is messy up-do day.

HELLO!
Ok, my skin is bad at the moment cause i've been doing this new skincare routine and exfoliating once a day so my spots come to the surface, it's annoying cause they all just appear over night, but as long as they go, i do not care. :)

anywaaaays, today is a messy up-do hair day.
A lazy saturday (even though every day is a lazy day for me).
I feel like i should be doing something tonight, but i literally have no friends, and the only friends i do have, either can't get here or they are at their dads, *cough* beth *cough*.

Just thought i'd attach some weird pictures of my hair, i don't know why, i'm just bored, okay?

LOTS OF LOVE,
Mia x
